just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. so....

Hello! I'm Chris, I live in Morehead, I go to school here too. I currently do not own any reptiles whatsoever, however I'm looking to buy a snake this summer (Thank you, tax rebate!).
Hello! New Reptile Owner here!

Hello to everyone here on the forum, I am in Louisville and have several reptiles, along with cats and fish. I recently inherited a 3 year old green iguana from a friend leaving for Iraq (who is a wild thing with very little human socialization and dietary issues to boot!) and 12 green anoles rescued from my kid's school. I am looking forward to helping my iggy recover and become the great pet I know he can be.

What are the pros and cons of using sand as a substrate on the bottom of an aquatic turtle tank? I used to have gravel but am wanting to change it to sand! If it helps...I have 2 red ear sliders, a mississippi map turtle, a florida yellow belly, and a painted turtle. The painted turtle is in another tank and will not be getting any sand, but the other 4 turtles are together in the same tank, which I'm wanting to put sand in.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Jamian

I've heard people talking of going to some huge reptile shows with a huge variety of animals! Let me know of any show you think is worth it!!

Jamian
